In this case, we are focusing on 3 easy DIY hair mask you could prepare and make your hair more shiny and healthy looking for your shoot. Love your hair as it is a crown you will never take off!

Deep Cleansing Hair Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup of fresh plain yoghurt
  • Teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
  • Tablespoon of diluted lemon juice
  • Tablespoon of water

Evenly mix all the ingredients together. Massage the mixture into your scalp in circular motion. Leave the mask on for 1 minute before rinsing it well.

Both the lemon and apple cider vinegar shares an equally essential property that is able to absorb and reduce the amount of excess oil from your scalp. Yogurt is very moisturising for your hair. It is also an effective element to clean all the excess oil that has already been building up on your scalp.

 

Smoothing Hair Mask

Ingredients:

  • Egg (whipped)
  • 1/4 Cup of Milk
  • Tablespoon of melted coconut oil

Other items needed:

  • Shower Cap
  • Hair Dryer
  • Hairbrush

Evenly mix all the ingredients together. Leaving 1/2 inch from the roots unapplied, generously apply the mixture onto your hair. It is advised to apply the mask mixture with a small hairbrush as the mixture is slightly more watery in consistency. After applying, cover your head with a shower cap. Blow it with a hair dryer on medium heat. Then after letting it cool down for 10 minutes, rinse it well.

Not only eggs are rich in protein that is ideal for nourishing your hair, eggs also contain a fatty acid that will make your hair look shiny and healthy. Just like how coconut and milk make your skin baby smooth, they will also leave your hair soft and easy to manage. At the end of the masking process, you will need to heat your hair. This will help to open up the pores and hair follicles allowing the mask to penetrate better.

Oil Control Hair Mask

Ingredients:

  • 6 Ripped strawberries
  • 1/7 Cup of fresh plain yoghurt
  • 1/2 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

Blend the strawberries into a puree consistency and mix it well with all the other ingredients. Apply the mixture to your hair, mainly focusing on your scalp. Leave the mask mixture on for approximately 2-3 minutes. Then, rinse well.

Strawberries are known to be rich and full of Vitamin C that is perfect for controlling excessive oil. The yoghurt will moisturise your hair while the apple cider vinegar has properties that are able to reduce the amount of oil produced by your scalp.
